Back in February I posted about the first signs of life of 2024 in the Northwoods.
It was the pods with a flower head inside the pods of the Skunk Cabbage plant shown below.
You find them growing in wet areas in the woods.
As the ice and snow melts away and temps warm, the leaves of the Skunk Cabbage emerge from the pods.
The leaves will grow very large and completely cover the whole area so you can no longer see the ground below.
Now it's time to create your abstract art.
Go out in the morning when the sun is just peeking over the horizon, and the sun will backlight the Skunk Cabbage leaves and the veins in the leaves will really pop creating artistic abstracts.
